This blogtoberfest thing is going to be quite a challenge! Where are we going to find 30 posts worth of interesting vaguely craft related content from when we already struggle to post once a week?!
Luckily I just got a shiny new Janome for my birthday and have a backlog of crafty projects to work on. If I get cracking I can post about them here as suitable blog fodder!
So it's extra good timing that I just finished making the quilt that I started 16 months ago and had to abandon for lack of a Walking Foot (and they didn't make any for my old Elna Lotus).
A lot of the fabrics used in this quilt are old discontinued ones from my old range, but I suppose if enough people ask super nicely we may reprint them ;)
My finished quilt!
My finished quilt - zoomy close-up shot
I tried to take some pretty, stylised shots of the quilt and realised taking photos of quilts is hard. But I persisted:
Draped all pretty like on the couch...
... and with Jhoanna's Peg Bear on my new old 1960's armchair. Hmm I think this is definitely it's home to stay.

Love it, great work! I especially love the raindrop fabric and the house and trees fabric - pretty please reprint those! :-)
Yeah gorgeous! Love it! I like the raindrops fabric too. Bring that one back.
Check out the quilt I made in July for my little girl's first birthday!

the quilt looks awesome. I just made a cushions with our fabric that i picked up from the brisbane stitches and craft....well worth the wait and the procrastination
Love the quilt! And seeing the bonsai print reminds me I was out to dinner the other night and saw a lady with a handbag made with that print in red - I was all excited (in myself) at "knowing" the designer of the fabric I had t point it out to Anthony.
please do reprint those aqua and yellow fabrics with the little squares!
Please, please reprint the aqua and yellow raindrops!!!
You made a beautiful quilt and I can appreciate the difficulty in taking a good photo. I draped mine over a bridge and tried to get a quick picture but the wind got a hold of it and it fell into the mud (lucky for me there was no running water!!) :)
I too struggle with new and interesting ways to photograph quilts and have been working on it all year. If you don't mind a little shameless plug for my photos, take a look at my flickr set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/simplyrobin/sets/72157612266629722/
I absolutely love your fabric and blog... I've drooled over your fabric several times on my own blog. Keep up the printing and sewing! You are doing fantastic work!
I love all these fabrics - but the raindrops are my personal fave...
The quilt is stunning Lara! And I love the photos too :-)
I am nicely asking that you reprint bulokku :) in ANY color!
And is that birch in a different shade of blue than robin's egg? i love how vibrant it looks!
Ok this is me asking super nice. ginko and the block one (can't recall the name) and 2 of my most favest ever!
