While giveaways are great and all, there is a serous message behind this one, and it's one I'm sure we've all heard before, but I'm going to say it anyway.
We simply cannot continue on the path of throw away consumerism.
In our little corner of the industry, we want to promote the use of organic fabrics. In particular, those that are sustainable & Global Organic Textiles Standard (GOTS) Certified.
The textile industry uses 25% of the worlds pesticides. 25%!! I can't even fathom how much poison that is, in litres.
The organic textile industry has very specific Standards regarding the use of toxins for something to be classed as organic, and has a hugely positive flow on to the (more often than not 3rd world) communities that grow & produce them. For example, the fields of organic cotton need to be rotated with other crops every few years, which also must be organic. This often means that the communities rotate the cotton with food crops, which means easy access to good quality, organic produce to be eaten and also sold. This, combined with the lack of toxic pesticides, means a hugely increase level of health for the people living around & working the cotton crops. It leads to better local economies, education & working conditions.

If we have to buy, then we must buy organic. It's the least we can do.

Re-cycled bags would be cool--like bags made from old jeans, discarded clothing, etc.

I like to have reusable tote bags. I don't know how you package your fabrics for shipping, but I know some places use way more packaging than necessary.

Organic cotton and linen, more and more of it with your great prints on it. :) Ok, that isn't such a new idea since that is what you are doing but it is my favorite. Canvas or sateen would be fun to create with.

Lol - Melbourne time here is Eastern Standard Time (that's Melbourne, Florida). I am interested in modern prints and modern juvenile prints in organic cotton, linen, or silk. Perfect for use in clothing for those of us living in a tropical climate.

Fabrics offered in different fabric weights....heavy for upholstery.....lighter for quilting. For ready-made, I always like a cheerful market bag or apron.

I love the ivory pattern with the stripes. I write a wedding blog and am making a conscious effort to make my wedding eco-friendly and trying to reduce our carbon footprint.
P.S. My wedding is where I would use these fabrics. That fabric would make excellent hair flowers.

I am new to your shop, but the fabrics are so beautiful that I can't imagine you are having issue with those. I always like to see a small amount of local love in a shop. Like they may have a local man who makes embroidery hoops or something of that nature.

Love your designs. The birds is my favorite! I'd love to see (is it possible?!) coated cottons - like oilcloth -- great for making re-usable totes, tablecloths, etc.
Some pretty organic fabric trims (perhaps made from your leftover cut-offs) that could be used to glam up our homeware projects. Or perhaps some plastic bag holders to stuff supermarket bags into for future reuse. Love your cheerful Tamarillo collection - it's stunning!
Ohh my gosh, just discovered you through this earth day giveaway!! Spotted it on fabricworm's blog, and am having heart palpitations as I didn't know all this awesome fabric was even available!! Well i know where i will be doing my shopping from now on! LOL!! I LOVE your line.. the houses, the grapefruit, the modern blocks... sigh... would love to see some organic binding, and tapes.. and make this wonderful fabric more widely known and available! I am not sure what i would like to see. I have never used organic material. I have a "small" background in farming and soil and I haven't really thought too "well" about organic and whatnot, but as I read more I am more inclined to research more about it. Hemp and stinging nettle fibres! Wool fabric - woven, suited for sewing clothes like shirts and skirts - would be great as well.

Just keep up the good work with your fine prints, they're lovely. You could think about broadening the collection with some more leightweight fabric. Personally I would love some matching linen tape or binding, not always easy to match your colours. But hey, I'm picky. (therefore still no gingko cushions, I'm waiting for that tape...)

I'm not sure how difficult it is to add a vinyl coating to at least one run of your beautiful fabric. It would be so nice to be able to make projects from something that could be cleaned up......like a tablecloth, or some project bags.
