Yardage printing classes at Ink & Spindle!

Amber and Lara D printing Amber's design (the other Lara not this Lara, I *know*)

Last weekend was the very first official screen printing class at the Ink & Spindle studio! Run by Harvest Textile Studios students at the class learnt how to screen print and make their own pattern repeat for textiles. We popped in a few times over the weekend and were so impressed by what people were doing. And they seemed to be having heaps of fun :)

The classes are booking up quick, but there are a few spots left for the Feb 13th/14th class so head over to the Harvest Textile Studios blog to read more and book yourself in!

All so divine!! Is height an advantage as i imagine i'd get paint all over my boobs & forearms, i think i'd stand on a stool?? Wow, amazing prints, just all so gorgeous. Love Posie

PS word verification is 'ulated' but i think 'elated' is more like how your class must have been feeling!!

Looks fantastic. Congratulations!!!

So do you actually print like this yourself for your business? Hand cutting your stencils?

Oh wow, now I wish I lived in Melbourne! My mother-in-law has given me a small silk screen and I'd love to learn how to use properly. It'd be great if you girls did up a tutorial pdf that we could buy through the shop.

Pretty please???? :D

The workshop was heaps of fun - we wanted to keep on going! Thanks Lara D and the Ink & Spindle girls for the venue.

I would love to learn how to skip the print like that so you can come back later & do the 2nd set when that is dry. Right now I have to kind of blow dry the edge of one print and then line it up against that or come back later.

The class is such an awesome idea as I have seen no information around for printing with a repeat. Everything is about screen printing shirts, or on paper. The .pdf tutorial mentioned would be incredible!
