The finish has worked beautifully, and we're totally happy with the result. Of course this post should have gone before Bi's, as we have now painted nearly all the window frames, sorry 'bout that!

Thanks everyone, it's fabulous having all your feedback - things have been a bit slow for a few days (we've been busy at our day jobs *sigh*).
